My Top 5 Animes in 2019

1)  One Punch Man 2

My number one spot goes to this amazing superhero anime, One Punch Man 2. It is the sequel to One Punch Man 1. I can't get enough of the action and awesomeness of this anime. It is about a seemingly ordinary and unimpressive man named Saitama that has a rather unique hobby: being a hero. Along with him is a cyborg Genos who proposedly suggested to be Saitama's student as he aims to be like him.

2) Magi's Grandson

My number two spot goes to Magi's Grandson. While "iSekai" anime is the new trend, I've gotta give it to this anime because of its storyline. Although it's similar to any other "iSekai" anime, the story and the overpowered protagonist give me excitement and thrill. So this anime is about a young man who passed away in an accident in the modern world and was reborn in a magical world as a newly born infant. He was adopted by the hero and a high wizard, Merlin Wolford. Shin got into Merlin's teachings and quickly learned magic and created his own beyond Merlin's grasp.

3) That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

On the number three spot is another "iSekai" anime! I'm sorry guys, but I really love this type of anime. It is about a typical corporate worker Satoru Mikami, who is contented with his lifestyle in Tokyo, other than being single all his life. While he was with his colleagues, an assailant came to them and tried to stab his colleague but with his heroic actions, he saved his colleague by shielding him with his body and died. He was reborn as a slime who has insane prowess and skills that no man can explain.

4) The Rising of the Shield Hero

Here we go again, guys! Another "iSekai" anime on the number four spot! It is a story of an otaku guy from the modern world who was transferred to another dimension, a magical world while reading a mysterious book in a library. He was summoned as a "Shield Hero" alongside other Heroes that are also seemingly from another dimension. Betrayal came upon him and continued to live in the harsh magical world with his comrades.

5) Blade of Demon Destruction

Last but not least, I'm gonna give it to the Blade of Demon Destruction. I am quite impressed with this anime art-wise and fighting scenes. The storyline is also interesting. It's about a boy who has a strong sense of smell and who unfortunately experiences the tragic loss of his family. He was able to save his sister Nezuko, however, she turned into a demon. Despite being a demon, she still has signs of human thoughts and emotions. Tanjirou's goal is to turn back his sister to human again.
