Mount Apo is Located on the island of Mindanao, Philippines towering at a height of 2,954 meters above sea level. It is between Davao City and Davao Del Sur province in Region Xl and Cotabato Region Xll. The peak overlooks Davao City 45 kilometers to the northeast, Digos 25 kilometers to the southeast, and Kidapawan  20 kilometers to the west. The locals call it Apo Sandawa, the name of the spirit of the mountain.
